Did you get to see my Watch it Weekly Wednesday Video the other week? I shared a Gift Box in a card idea. It was an “outside of the box” idea!
You can see the video here:
I had some questions on dimensions for the Gift Box in a Card idea. I’ve included photos below for more instructions.
On an 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of card stock, cut 2” square out.
To make bottom of box:
On a 6″ x 6″ piece of DSP, score at 2″ on each side. Cut into the score line on each of the corners. (See pink lines)
To make the lid:
On an 3 1/8″ x 3 1/8″ piece of DSP, score at 1/2″ on each side. Cut into the score line on each of the corners. (See pink lines)
Adhere with Tear & Tape or Stampin’ Seal + for a long lasting, durable hold.
These cards are so much fun for many different occasions. I hope you come up with your own creations and share them with me below in the comments.
Let it me know if you have any other questions! Happy Stamping!

Thank you so much for giving such a thorough outline of how to make this gift box in a card. As a relative newcomer to the world of card making I find these projects quite daunting! Thanks for sharing.

This box in a card is so adorable! I already have the 2″ clear plastic boxes and the tiny bows, so most of the work is already done. Thanks so much for sharing this.

NEAT box Jill! But can’t figure out how you made the ‘shelf’ in the Thanksgiving card..can you elaborate for me? Thanks, Michele

Great Question! I used a 2 inch by 2 inch scrap piece of paper and folded it then adhered to make the ledge. It was kind of a after thought that worked! Hope that helps!
