The Festive Flower Builder Punch is normally used to make these beautiful paper poinsettias. But we came up with a alternative idea.
Oh and BTW, this Punch Price is normally $18.00 on CLEARANCE for $10.80. Great Deal!
Here are the steps for making the Glitter Christmas Cone Trees:
Take the Stampin’ Up! Festive Flower Builder Punch and choose whatever color Glimmer/Glitter Paper. Also, I bought the Styrofoam cone trees from Michaels or JoAnns. 7″ & 9″ & 12″.
Cut 5 strips. 2 1/2″ wide strips of Glimmer Paper (which is 12×12).
Use Festive Flower Builder Punch and punch out the Glimmer Paper.
As shown below, to get those most petals out of your Glimmer Paper, try and punch them out in that pattern.
After punching out a couple petals, then tear off remaining scraps and continue to punch.
Then use a bone folder or your fingers to curve the petals.
Place hot glue on the more pointed tip of petal.
Then place it on your Styrofoam cone tree. Start at the bottom and make your way up. (I am a perfectionist, so I lined them up right next to each other and the next row up I just made sure the petals covered the Styrofoam).
Glue them on and make sure they overlap enough so you don’t see the Styrofoam cone tree. This part you can make it custom to how ever many petals you want.
Repeat steps for 2 more Christmas Cone Trees.
All you need is Glimmer (Glitter) Paper, Styrofoam cone trees from Michaels or JoAnns. 7″ & 9″ & 12″ and the Festive Flower Builder Punch. Click Photos below to order!
